About This City

Sleneset is an island in Lurøy, Nordland state. Sleneset is part of the archipelago of about 300 islands that are called "Solværøyene". The name is because it's sunny 24 hours a day in the summer. There are about 430 residents and Sleneset is one of the largest of the circuit in Lurøy.
Sleneset lies far out to sea, 1.5-hour by ferry from the mainland, and because of "the Gulf", Sleneset has early spring, mild and snow poor winters.
